• Alberto Limonta Perez, African Drumming Expert/Teacher, originally born in Havana Cuba, is a 30+ year teacher and professional Afro-Cuban folkloric performer, salsa dancer, percussionist, and vocalist. 
• Highly regarded in Cuba, he was a percussionist, choral and solo vocalist with the legendary Havana rumba group, Clave y Guaguancó. He is an experienced music director, composer, choreographer, and audio producer. 
• He currently performs (and teaches) as a solo percussionist and works for Fredericksburg, VA public Schools as a Special Education paraprofessional educator at James Monroe High School in Fredericksburg, VA since 2011.

• Becky Stewart has a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in music from the
• George Washington University, Washington D.C. She has been professionally playing music (piano, flute, guitar, and voice), teaching music, and working for the Department of Defense since
• 1987. She is an experienced music arranger, transcriber, and composer. In her long-time federal contractor position for which she plans to retire (at the end of 2023), she has managed technical
• Research and Development (R&D) projects and produced technical brochures, engineering program plans, and reports to Congress for the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering.

• Slam Stewart, born in Washington D.C., is a professional drummer, music educator, and mentor for various youth organizations in the Fredericksburg area since 1991, having traveled across the US and internationally throughout the 90’s, performing with renowned artists such as American Blues guitarist, Deborah Coleman. As an advocate of “rhythm with musicality” 
• Slam is instrumental in developing “World Beat Rhythm” teaching programs for various youth organizations such as the Boys and Girls Clubs of Fredericksburg, the Building a Better Life Foundation Youth Drumline Program, the Walker Grant School Head Start program, and Marenje Marimba Band – all designed to engage young people in interactive music/social activities to build

cognitive skills, unity, and self-confidence.

• Tanyah Cotton, is a recording artist and audio-video producer from the San Francisco Bay area, having played piano and sung through the years with many African and Jamaican musicians. Such as The Mighty Diamonds, Toots, and the Maytals, and Hedzoleh Soundz.
• She originally came to Virginia to join Gaye Adegbalola as a member of the “Wild Rutz”, an acapella blues group. 
• She has managed and led many Foundation for the Healing Arts projects since 1989. These projects include providing music-based workshops for youth. In 1990, FHA offered the “Performance Workshop” as a part of the Pasadena Anti-Gang program, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Pasadena.   
•  FHA has presented, filmed, and recorded concerts throughout California, from the Pasadena Rose Bowl to a major jazz club in the Bay Area, Kimball’s East. to expose African spirituality, culture, and music to audiences who were unfamiliar, working with Nigerian drummer and scholar, Babatunde Olatunji
